A social media manager who is unabashedly obsessed with social and has a hankering to work collaboratively with some cool strategists, creatives and clients. Together we will create content that shapes categories and starts trends. Chiat\Day LA is searching for a strategic thinking creative to manage and drive our community management expertise
You are prolific and proactive. You're obsessed with learning the client's brand and business, your role, the other roles, the craft, how we work. You know what makes your brand's community tick and how to get them to engage. You are good at presenting your ideas and thoughts. You are trusted in front of clients. You know the latest conversations and trends, and can suggest disruptive and engaging ways in.
In Detail: -

  • Executes community management by implementing brand voice on social platforms via engaging with paid and organic communities to promote conversation and build brand tone. -
  • Manages content (uploads/schedules/publish) on client social media tools and native channels. (Familiarity with CMSs such as Sprinklr and Sprout ideal). -
  • Working with client and internal team to orchestrate monthly and quarterly content calendars. Ensuring the creative planned pays off the strategy and is on brand, effective, and appropriate for the channel. -
  • Works with data and analytics team on content and campaign performance for reporting and creative implications. -
  • Directly engages with creators and acts as liaison between talent and PR agency to ensure creators are properly set up for success on brand partnerships.
  • Mines for community opportunities and high-impact (influencer, brand, etc.) interactions
  • Remain up to date on trending content, conversations, news, cultural events and engaging social formats. Leveraging social listening and secondary research methods to gain a deep understanding of internet culture, subcultures, and consumer behaviors that are the driving both large and small trends or cultural moments
  • Collaborates with internal team with platform best practices and audience behaviors to contribute creatively to ideation, conception and content creation. -
  • Builds relevant client relationships as it relates to social media and educates them on platform and cultural happenings. - -
  • Impacting the larger account approach and contributing to campaign briefs.


    • 2-4+ years experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands. -
    • Undergraduate degree preferably in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, and/or related fields. -
    • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication. -
    • Passion and a deep understanding for all things social media - the platforms, the media opportunities, the current state, best practices, and the memes. -
    • Experience managing content on Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, with a passion for emerging platforms.
    • Familiarity with CMS such as Opal, Spreadfast, Sprinklr, Sprout, and native platform tools. - -
    • Understanding of paid social media campaigns. -
