POSITION SUMMARYWe are hiring our first dedicated social media professional. While we are currently active across numerous social channels, you will have the opportunity to build our social strategy from the ground up in collaboration with our Director of Marketing and leadership team.As Social Media Manager, you will be in charge of developing and executing upon a strategy for audience development and engagement across all social platforms, as well as supporting paid media strategy in social. We are looking for someone who can drive these efforts through a combination of broad strategic social media experience, deep tactical and executional chops, and an entrepreneurial mindset that is oriented towards identifying and implementing solutions, both independently and collaboratively.
Among additional duties that may arise, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing social media strategies and tactics to further develop the Park Place voice, grow our brand, expand our following and position Park Place as a thought leader in the industry
  • Generating content ideas and producing content for all social channels
  • Creating and executing against social content calendars
  • Daily platform management through content curation and scheduling
  • Overseeing the community management function and serving as primary community manager and voice of the Park Place brand on social
  • Establishing a metrics framework to determine success in social, track metrics accordingly, and continually optimize social strategy in response
  • Determining the best balance of brand and product messaging in each channel to successfully achieve relevant KPIs
  • Reporting to leadership regularly on social metrics and KPIs
  • Bringing a creative and data-driven approach to inform decisions that push the brand forward
  • Serving as the in-house expert on social media trends, platforms, content and promotion
  • Partnering with the Director of Marketing to ensure social media efforts support vision and growth of the Park Place brand
    WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEEDSuccess will be measured by the overall business impact of your solutions, collaboration across cross-functional teams, and deployment of a data-driven framework. You will exhibit the skills necessary to create content to fulfill both organic and paid media pipelines, and apply a data-driven framework to consistently measure results, extract learnings and adapt approach to maximize results against an ever-shifting social landscape and fluid business objectives.
    • 4-5 years of experience (agency and/or client side) at the intersection of social media, digital media, community building and community management
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to identify new marketing opportunities
    • Ability and desire to make decisions based on a combination of data analysis and marketing experience
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
    • Experience and expertise with content creation platforms (Adobe Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
    • Comfortable with fast-paced environment and real-time requests
      • Passion for social media and content creation
      • Full of ideas, but biased towards execution
      • Endlessly resourceful
      • Positive and energetic
      • Care about helping others, both inside and outside your work
      • Self-starter who owns their own success metrics and takes projects from start to finish, with daily optimization
      • Highly creative but also process-oriented and data-driven
