Job Description:
The Chief Marketing Officer will lead the global marketing
strategy to disrupt the beauty industry by leveraging key pillars
that define this beauty company's services and cutting-edge
innovation capabilities. This leadership role will develop key
messaging, unique business-to-business marketing strategies with an
emphasis on digital touchpoints across key global markets and
partner with the Executive team to exceed aggressive sales growth
objectives. The Chief Marketing Officer will be a results-oriented,
strategic thinker with the ability to formulate "forwarding
thinking" marketing plans and clearly map out the critical success
factors to deliver against plans while demonstrating and driving
detailed execution. Through strong leadership, this individual will
scale the department with processes, identify top talent globally,
and lead a high performing team to pioneer trends and create
progressive business-to-business marketing strategies to expand
market share. * Lead the launch of the re-brand scheduled for the
1st quarter of 2021 and develop the marketing strategy encompassing
key messaging to highlight the specific pillars that differentiate
this beaut company as a leader. The marketing plan should be
presented within the first 90 days to include a specific and
actionable go-to-market strategy, competitive landscape, value
proposition, and specific growth actions aligned with the overall
company growth plan.* Within the first 90 days define the Marketing
budget, outline the ROI for marketing investments and timelines to
deliver on key initiatives within the first year to the Executive
team and Private Equity Board. * Within the first 90 days evaluate
the current project volume to prioritize key initiatives, determine
resources, implement processes with cross-functional teams to set
clear guidelines, and develop timeline deliverables to create
companywide consensus on marketing resources, capabilities, and
partnership.* Within the first 6 months align all marketing
touchpoints with the brand guidelines and identify unique
business-to-business outreach opportunities that provide a best in
class experience through the website, email marketing, presenting
samples to clients/prospects, and innovative campaigns. * Evaluate
the current marketing teams across North America, Europe, and Asia
to identify skill-set gaps to align the team to support aggressive
growth plans. Create a hiring plan and budget to present to the CEO
and Private Equity board for approval. * Optimize the internal
marketing resources for the Sales and Product Development teams for
customizable digital templates, showcasing innovation awards and
presentations to shorten the turnaround timeline. * Create a best
in class business-to-business marketing strategy to clearly align
innovation capabilities across social, media, PR, website,
tradeshows, and industry events to expand brand awareness on a
global basis. * Outline key touchpoints to create a best in class
experience by partnering with the Sales team to understand the
competitive landscape and opportunities to differentiate with
unique B2B strategies.* Partner with the EVP of Sales to align
strategies, identify opportunities with targeted beauty brands, and
create a comprehensive marketing plan to help convert those
specific prospects to achieve short- and long-term revenue and
profitability goals. * Partner with Creative and Product
Development teams to analyze trend data and identify future trends
across multiple industries to pioneer the innovation strategy,
potential white space opportunities, and present trend data to the
Executive team annually. * Lead the digital strategy to optimize
content, email marketing campaigns, and analyze data within
MailChimp software to measure performance metrics specifically with
lead generation and customer acquisitions.* Partner with the PR
agency to identify opportunities and showcase innovation through
beauty awards, events, tradeshows, and press releases to drive
momentum as a disruptor in the beauty industry.* Continuously
optimize the website to enhance the client experience, increase
lead generation, and showcase innovation, press releases, and
testimonials. Monitor SEO and Google Analytics.* Create the design,
concept, and budget for tradeshows and work with the CEO to create
a unique splash to differentiate this beauty company.* Partner with
the Executive team to present to the Private Equity Board on a
quarterly basis outlining a strategy, budget, and incremental
growth achievements through marketing initiatives. * Evaluate the
current agency partners with KPI's to maximize social, digital, and
public relations opportunities.Qualifications:* 15+ years of
experience in a Marketing leadership capacity with a combination of
brand and supplier experience within the beauty/cosmetics industry
required* P&L ownership experience required* Proven
track-record of developing B2B strategies that have impacted YOY
sales * Expertise developing digital strategies to increase brand
awareness and customer acquisition in a business-to-business model*
Proven Marketing leadership skills with the ability to develop a
brand vision and create a results-oriented Marketing team to
achieve short-term and long-term goals through tactical steps*
Experience leading digital strategies through strategic
partnerships, quality content development, and capitalizing on PR
opportunities* Experience scaling a marketing department to create
systems that increase productivity and meet deliverables for a
diverse project workload, playing a hands-on role to meet
deliverables, and cultivating a positive team environment* Thrives
in a highly entrepreneurial environment and takes a hands-on
approach to scale the team, develop infrastructure, and implement
technology* Exhibits a passion for the beauty industry and maintain
a pulse on current and future trends across multiple verticals to
identify innovative concepts on a global basis
