Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Public Benefit Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Review and determine eligibility for uninsured/under-insured
patients for state Medicaid benefits or financial assistance
programs
Communicate with patients to gather necessary documents for
application submissions
Document actions and communications in patient accounting systems
and maintain relationships with Medicaid caseworkers
Required Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically
with hospital financial issues
Understanding of revenue cycle processes including admissions,
billing, payments, and denials
Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and
benefits verification
High School Diploma or GED; relevant post-secondary education and
experience may be considered
CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company
paid)
