Job Description:

We are in search for a Controller who will play an integral role in our growing Accounting department. The Controller will be responsible for the full range of accounting and treasury functions, reporting to the CFO.Essential Responsibilities
--- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting, including KPI dashboard
--- Perform variance analysis and recommend solutions
--- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and controls to produce financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
--- Ensure payroll tax filing and tax payment compliance
--- Treasury and Cash Flow management
--- Ensure credit facility compliance
--- Build and manage accounting department to create efficiency and effectiveness with Operations
--- Function as a "change agent" to promote automation and to streamline and standardize finance processes
--- Manage the development and improvement of financial systems in use and assist in the implementation and on-going development of internally developed software systems
--- Oversee the financial statement audit process with external auditors, tax advisors and valuation firms
--- Oversee the use of external tax advisors in the preparation of the year-end tax provision, quarterly interim tax provision, and Federal/state income tax returns
--- Support Payroll Dept with inquiries

--- Undergraduate degree in Accounting required
--- Knowledge of US GAAP including an understanding of accounting controls, processes and procedures is required
--- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (IF statements, Vlookup, Pivot tables, etc)
--- 14+ years of experience
--- Proven ability to lead and motivate an accounting team to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
--- Public accounting experience preferred
--- Entertainment industry experience preferred
--- Experience in Quickbooks preferred
--- CPA highly preferred
--- Experience in annual audits and an audit perspective that is reflected in accounting policies and procedures, work papers and support documentation a plus.
