Job Description:

Employer seeing a Tax Manager to come join their team. The Tax Manager will accurately prepare and file sales and use, motor fuels and property tax returns in a timely manner. In this role you will manage the income tax planning process with an outside tax firm as well as manage tax audits. As the Tax Manager you will monitor and report the developments in tax legislation to your team as needed. The Tax Manager will ensure state and federal tax documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner. The Tax Manager will develop solutions for potential tax issues, keeping abreast of new developments in tax legislation, and informing staff of new legislative developments. The Tax Manager will also advise on tax planning, tax research, and tax compliance. The Tax Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or related field preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), EA or related license preferred, but not required. Proven experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or similar role. Experience with State & Local sales tax. Experience using Vertex or Avalara software. Extensive knowledge of tax legislation. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and communication skills. Sound problem-solving skills. Proficient with tax research software.
