SSSD has an opening for a Senior Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in Redondo Beach, California.

The Senior Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst will report to a Manager of Project Controls on a high visibility corporate watch program to interface with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager, Program Management Office (PMO), and Cost Account Managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements.

In this role, the candidate will utilize strong organizational skill to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced multiple task environment. The incumbent will leverage Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts and apply them to multiple control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Set up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance including cost/schedule integration
  • Perform analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system to maintain cost and schedule baselines
  • Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
  • Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
  • Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience in any combination of Business Management, Finance, Cost Control, Accounting and/or related field; OR Master's Degree and 7 years of stated experience
    • Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Strong analytical ability
    • Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access Preferred Qualifications:
      • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Proficiency of the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM), Cobra or similar project management software, wInsight, SAP Management Project Systems Module and Business Warehouse (BW) Aerospace/Defense Industry experience Northrop Grumman offers a competitive and robust benefits program.           Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
