Prime Providers California LLC, and related companies such as American United Home Care (AUHC), AllCare Health Services, VIC the PICC, etc. is a leading provider of in-home healthcare and vascular access services. We have been providing in-home care to our clients for over 30 years. We provide private duty shift care, home health, home care and vascular access services throughout the Southern California region and service patients of all ages including pediatrics.

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Culver City, CA. This is a full-time position, anticipated to commence as soon as qualified applicants are identified. The accountant will work closely with the Controller.

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Maintain general ledger across multiple entities, including review of AP/AR entries, JE uploads, inter-company transactions and bank reconciliations and month-end close
Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.
Support Controller in ad-hoc reporting and projects
Support HR and payroll with reporting requirements
Assist with operational and facilities processes as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, SharePoint and experience with an ERP and well-known payroll processing platform required

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
At least 3+ years of accounting experience in a Senior Accountant role is required
Performs in a consistently organized manner with strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
